The Department of Education is the operational core of CERLI. From this main office, the management of information and results from all the center’s projects is centralized, ensuring their proper utilization in the strategic direction of research, campaigns, consulting, training, and other initiatives.
Additionally, the department is responsible for managing The Orvium Education Journal, CERLI’s academic journal. This publication features research conducted by the center, as well as contributions from affiliated authors, establishing a high-level platform for academic dissemination and debate.
Marcelo Storoszczuk Durán (b. 2001, Montevideo, Uruguay) is a researcher, educator, and Director of the Department of Education at CERLI. With a strong academic background in pedagogy, didactics, e-learning, and learning psychology, he has dedicated his career to educational modernization and innovation.
His work centers on transforming learning environments through technology, flexible curricula, and personalized education strategies, focused on digital learning and inclusive education. He is the author of notable books including "Teaching in the Digital Age" and "Mental Health in Modern Education".
An advocate for inclusive and adaptive education systems, he has led projects such as "Education in Emergencies" and "Safe Connections", reinforcing his impact on educational accessibility and student well-being worldwide. His most important research was the creation of the Modular Education System (SEM), a framework for flexible curricula, personalized learning, and decentralized academic structures.
